HEALTH INFORMATICS SPACES IN THE SOCIAL WORK/SMART HOSPITAL ACADEMIC BUILDING
Construction is expected to be completed in November on a new home for the College of Nursing and Health Innovation’s Smart Hospital and the School of Social Work. The first floor will house a health informatics lab and classroom designed to facilitate and enhance students’ learning through interprofessional education. State-of-the-art technology integration will promote active learning and give students access to a simulated health care environment that will provide the health informatics competencies required to succeed in today’s dynamic health care settings.
The architectural renderings below depict the two spaces.
The Health Informatics Classroom will feature a collaborative setting structured for small-group learning that will emphasize student preparation out of class and application of knowledge in class.
